DMCA Policy

Marjan Island Living – Design Paradise respects the intellectual property rights of others. We expect our users and contributors to do the same. This policy outlines our procedures for addressing alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”).

Our Commitment to Intellectual Property

We are dedicated to operating our platform in compliance with copyright law. Our goal is to provide original content and a space for discussions about design, architecture, and sustainable living, including topics like smart homes and Italian interior styles.

Unauthorized use or reproduction of copyrighted material is prohibited. We take claims of infringement seriously and will respond to notices that comply with the DMCA and other applicable laws.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe content on marjanisland-design.ae infringes your copyright, please send a DMCA notice to our designated agent. Your notice must include the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. For example, provide a link to the original work or a registration number.
  • Identification of the material that you claim is infringing. This includes its location on marjanisland-design.ae, such as the specific URL.
  • Your contact information: full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate. Also state that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.

Counter-Notification Process

If your content was removed due to a copyright infringement notice, and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. Send this to our designated DMCA agent.

Your counter-notification must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if outside the U.S., any judicial district in which Marjan Island Living – Design Paradise may be found). Also state that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.

We will forward valid counter-notifications to the party who submitted the original takedown notice. If the complaining party does not file a court action seeking a court order against you within 10 to 14 business days, we may restore the removed material.

Repeat Infringer Policy

Marjan Island Living – Design Paradise has a policy of terminating user accounts of repeat infringers under appropriate circumstances. A repeat infringer is a user who has been notified of infringing activity more than twice and/or has had infringing content removed from the site more than twice.

We reserve the right to remove content or terminate accounts for copyright infringement without prior notice. This action may occur at our sole discretion.
